Overview
Optical detection and πCode MicroDisc decoding for compatible IntelliPlex multiplex assays. Combines bright-field and fluorescence imaging to identify MicroDisc patterns and measure fluorescent signals.
Role in the workflow
Detection and image decoding.
- Bright-field imaging identifies the circular code on each πCode MicroDisc.
- Fluorescence imaging measures the signal associated with the captured target.
- Assay results are interpreted using the compatible DeXipher software and assay-specific Kit App.
System requirements
The IntelliPlex molecular workflow uses nucleic-acid extraction and quantification, PCR or RT-PCR amplification, πCode processing, optical detection and software interpretation. A complete configuration includes both the processor and analyzer, a compatible thermocycler and computer, suitable software, and assay-specific reagents and consumables.
Computer, thermocycler, software, calibration materials and accessories are quoted separately unless explicitly included in the agreed system configuration.
Ordering and delivery
Supplied as one instrument. Contact Darwin Science to confirm the system configuration, installation requirements and delivery timing.
For use with compatible πCode assays. Intended use depends on the supplied assay, system configuration and applicable product documentation.
