RIPA Lysis Buffer, 100 mL
RIPA lysis buffer is a classic rapid lysis reagent for cells and tissues. It effectively disrupts animal cell membranes, cytoplasm, and nuclei to release proteins, making it widely suitable for Western blotting, immunoprecipitation (IP), and related assays. “RIPA” stands for Radio Immunoprecipitation Assay.
Protein samples obtained with this kit can be quantified with the BCA protein assay. Because RIPA contains high concentrations of detergents, it is not compatible with Bradford assay for protein quantification.
